'R' = Relaxed Performance - Sunday 27th December - 10:30am
A relaxed performance creates a more inclusive and comfortable environment by easing traditional theatre rules and adjusting the ambiance. This type of performance is especially beneficial for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or anyone who prefers a more relaxed setting. In a relaxed performance, the lighting in the auditorium is often brighter to help audience members navigate the space more easily and feel at ease throughout the show.
'BSL' = Signed Performance - Tuesday 29th December - 2pm
Signed performances are tailored to make theatre accessible for patrons who use British Sign Language (BSL). In these performances, a trained BSL interpreter stands to the side of the stage, translating the dialogue and key auditory elements in real-time. This setup allows Deaf and hard-of-hearing audience members to fully engage with and enjoy the production, ensuring they experience the performance as intended by the creators.
Approx Running Time: 2 hours, 10 minutes (with interval)
